Roblox appeal denied?
Updated 21 October 2026
If Roblox denied your appeal, Roblox itself will not look again: its help pages say each moderation is reviewed only once. If you live in the EU, you still have real options. You can take the decision to a certified out-of-court dispute body, ask for a full statement of reasons, request a copy of your data, and go to court. Outside the EU, the denied appeal is usually the end of the road with Roblox.
Read the answer before you act
Save Roblox's reply with the date. Check three things:
- Does it name the rule and the content or behaviour it relied on?
- Does it say whether a person looked at it, or whether it was automated?
- Does it say how to challenge the decision further?
If any of this is missing, that matters for the next steps.
Step 1: ask for proper reasons
If you live in the EU, DSA Art. 17 requires a clear and specific statement of reasons: the facts, the rule, whether automated tools were used, and how to challenge it. If you only got a short standard reply, write to Roblox's DSA contact and ask for it. Roblox names its support form (roblox.com/support) and [email protected] for DSA questions.
Your complaint under DSA Art. 20 must be decided in a timely, careful and non-arbitrary way, and not by automated means alone. If your reply looks automatic, say so.
Step 2: a certified dispute body
Under DSA Art. 21 you can take Roblox's decision to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body. Key facts:
- It is free for you, or costs a small fee.
- If you win, Roblox pays the fees and your reasonable costs.
- The body decides within 90 days of receiving your complete complaint.
- The decision is not binding, but Roblox must engage in good faith.
The European Commission's list names no body for Roblox. Platform Control, ADR Center and ADR Point name Roblox on their own websites, and other general bodies may take the case. A listing does not mean every kind of decision is within a body's remit, so check before you file. Roblox's EEA terms say it does not take part in general consumer dispute resolution, but that this does not affect DSA bodies. Use the dispute body finder.
Step 3: get your data
GDPR Art. 15 gives you a free copy of your personal data, answered within one month, with up to two more months for complex requests if Roblox tells you why. The data can show what Roblox logged about the decision. If you can still log in, use "Request Account Data" in Settings, under Privacy. Otherwise use the support form.
Step 4: court
The right to go to court stays open. With Robux, purchases or creator income at stake, it can be worth getting legal advice. We are not lawyers.
For parents and young players
If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to help you with these steps. To buy our letters you must be 18 or older, or have a parent's or guardian's consent. Parents: a dispute body will look at the facts, so write down what your child told you while it is fresh.
What not to do
Don't open a new account while the decision stands. Most platforms treat that as evading the ban, and it can weaken your case. Don't pay anyone who promises an "unban" or asks for your password. For the full picture, see the Roblox overview or permanently banned on Roblox.
What you stand to lose
A ban on Roblox takes more than a profile. Think about what is on the account before you decide what to do.
- Years of photos, videos and posts you may not have saved anywhere else
- Messages and contacts, sometimes the only way you reach certain people
- The followers, subscribers or community you built
- Income: sales, sponsorships, payouts and the customers who find you there
- Other apps and sites where you sign in with this account
On Roblox specifically
- Your Robux. Roblox's EEA terms say that if your account is terminated for any reason, all Robux in it become invalid, unless the law requires otherwise.
- Groups you own. Roblox's EEA terms say that if an owner's account is suspended or terminated, Roblox may name a new owner for the group.
Deadlines that are already running
- Roblox's help pages say EU users have 6 months to appeal an initial moderation action. Outside the EU the limit is 30 days.
- Complaint to Roblox: open for at least six months from the day Roblox told you about the decision (DSA Art. 20).
- Copy of your data: free, and Roblox must answer within one month of your request (GDPR Art. 15). It is worth asking now.
Questions people ask
Can I appeal a Roblox ban twice?
Roblox's help pages say a moderation that has been reviewed cannot be reviewed again. Sending the same appeal again through the support form is unlikely to help. If you live in the EU, the next step is outside Roblox: a certified dispute body.
Does Roblox take part in dispute resolution?
Roblox's terms for the EEA say it does not take part in general consumer dispute resolution, but that this does not affect certified dispute bodies under the Digital Services Act. Those bodies are the route after a denied appeal.
Which dispute body handles Roblox?
The European Commission's list names none for Roblox. Platform Control, ADR Center and ADR Point name Roblox on their own websites, and other general bodies may take the case. Use the dispute body finder to compare them.
My child's Roblox appeal was denied. Can a parent take it further?
Roblox's appeal page says only the account owner may appeal. For a dispute body, check its rules on who may file for a child before you start. Our letters can be bought by a parent acting for their child.
