Banned on Roblox?
On Roblox, first work out who banned you. If you were banned from one experience, its creator did that, and Roblox says its support cannot remove those bans. If Roblox itself banned, suspended or closed your account, read the moderation notice: it says whether to appeal through Violations and Appeals or through the support form. If you live in the EU, you have six months to appeal and more rights under the Digital Services Act.
What happened to your account?
Pick the one that fits. Each guide has the steps for that case.
- Account disabledYou can't log in. The notice says disabled.
- Account suspendedLocked out for now, with time to disagree.
- Account restrictedLimits on posting, messages, reach or features.
- Appeal deniedYou appealed and they kept the decision.
- How long it takesReview times and the legal time limits.
- Permanently bannedThe notice says the decision is final.
- Business account bannedA Page, shop, ad or creator account is hit.
- Banned by mistakeHacked, mass reported or a wrong automated call.
How Roblox bans work
Two kinds of ban on Roblox
Experience bans. Each experience (game) is run by its creator, who can ban players from it. Roblox shows this as Error Code 600 or Error Code 267. Your account still works everywhere else. Roblox's help pages say these bans are not issued by Roblox, so the only route is the creator or the experience's community.
Actions by Roblox. Roblox's own moderators can warn you, give a short timeout, suspend the account, remove content or whole experiences, or close the account. Robux can be revoked during a suspension and become invalid when an account is closed, unless the law says otherwise.
The DSA rights below are for Roblox's own decisions, not for disputes with experience creators.
For parents
Many Roblox players are children. Roblox allows accounts from age 5, and anyone under 18 opens the account together with a parent or guardian. If your child's account was banned, read the notice together first. Roblox's appeal page says only the account owner may appeal, so the appeal is sent from your child's account and email, with you helping.
If you are under 18 and reading this: ask a parent or guardian to help you. To buy our letters you must be 18 or older, or have a parent's or guardian's consent.
What can happen on Roblox
- Disabled: Roblox closed or deleted your account and you cannot log in.
- Suspended: a ban for a set time, from a timeout to days or longer.
- Restricted: chat off, content removed, or a ban from one experience.
- Appeal denied: Roblox reviewed your appeal and kept the decision.
- How long: what Roblox says about timing, and the legal time limits in the EU.
- Permanently banned: what a closed account means and what you can still do.
- Business account: creators and developers with DevEx earnings, groups and experiences.
- Banned by mistake: hacked accounts, shared devices, report waves and wrong age checks.
Your EU route against Roblox's decisions
Roblox Corporation is a US company. No EU Roblox company is named in its terms. The European Commission designated Roblox a very large online platform on 31 August 2026, and Roblox has a legal representative in the Netherlands. For DSA questions, Roblox names its support form (roblox.com/support) and [email protected].
If you live in the EU:
- Statement of reasons (DSA Art. 17). Roblox must explain what it decided, the facts, the rule, whether automated tools were used, and how to challenge it.
- Internal complaint (DSA Art. 20). Free, for at least six months, and not decided by automated means alone. Roblox's own help pages give EU users six months to appeal. A wrong decision must be reversed without undue delay.
- Out-of-court dispute body (DSA Art. 21). You can go to a certified body, even without the internal complaint first. The European Commission's list names no body for Roblox. Platform Control, ADR Center and ADR Point name Roblox on their own sites, and other general bodies may take the case. Use the dispute body finder.
- Your data (GDPR Art. 15). A free copy of your personal data, answered within one month.
- Court. That right stays open.
These rules protect people who live in the EU, not Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein or the UK. Outside the EU, Roblox's own appeal is your main route, within 30 days of the action.
Stay safe
Ignore "free Robux" offers and paid "unban" services. Nobody outside Roblox can lift a Roblox ban, and Roblox will never ask for your password. Don't create a new account to get around a ban. Start with the free ban checker to see your dates.
What you stand to lose
A ban on Roblox takes more than a profile. Think about what is on the account before you decide what to do.
- Years of photos, videos and posts you may not have saved anywhere else
- Messages and contacts, sometimes the only way you reach certain people
- The followers, subscribers or community you built
- Income: sales, sponsorships, payouts and the customers who find you there
- Other apps and sites where you sign in with this account
On Roblox specifically
- Your Robux. Roblox's EEA terms say that if your account is terminated for any reason, all Robux in it become invalid, unless the law requires otherwise.
- Groups you own. Roblox's EEA terms say that if an owner's account is suspended or terminated, Roblox may name a new owner for the group.
Deadlines that are already running
- Roblox's help pages say EU users have 6 months to appeal an initial moderation action. Outside the EU the limit is 30 days.
- Complaint to Roblox: open for at least six months from the day Roblox told you about the decision (DSA Art. 20).
- Copy of your data: free, and Roblox must answer within one month of your request (GDPR Art. 15). It is worth asking now.

Dispute bodies for Roblox
Checked on 21 October 2026 against the European Commission's official list (last updated 11 September 2026). Bodies can change their rules, so check the body's own website before you file.
Questions people ask
Can Roblox remove a ban from one experience?
No. Roblox's help pages say bans set by an experience's creator are not issued by Roblox and that Roblox Support cannot remove them. Ask the creator or the experience's community if they offer a way to appeal.
Who can appeal a Roblox ban?
Roblox's appeal page says only the account owner may appeal, using a valid email address for the account. If the owner is a child, a parent can sit with them and help write it.
Is there a dispute body for Roblox in the EU?
The European Commission's list of certified bodies names none for Roblox. Platform Control, ADR Center and ADR Point name Roblox on their own websites, and other general bodies may also take the case. The dispute body finder shows your options.
Is Roblox covered by the Digital Services Act?
Yes. The European Commission designated Roblox a very large online platform on 31 August 2026. Its moderation decisions for users in the EU fall under the DSA rules on reasons, complaints and dispute bodies.
