Roblox says you have been banned or your account was deleted
A Roblox notice that you have been banned for a number of days means Roblox's moderation has paused your account for a while. "Account deleted" means Roblox has ended the account. Both can be appealed: screenshot the notice, use the appeal route it names within 30 days, and if you live in the EU, you have 6 months and further free options.
What the notice means
Roblox moderates in steps. Its help pages describe a warning first, then a timeout, then a suspension, and for repeat or severe breaks of the rules, the end of the account. A ban "for 1 day" or "for 3 days" is a suspension: when the time is up, you can usually log in again. "Account deleted" is the final step. Roblox's help pages use that word, for example for cheating and exploiting.
The notice usually names the rule, sometimes the item or chat line, and tells you whether you can appeal through Violations & Appeals or through the Roblox Support Form.
Banned from one game, or from Roblox?
Check this first. Error Code 600 or 267 means the creator of one experience banned you from their game. Roblox says it does not issue those bans and cannot remove them. You can still play everything else. This page is about bans from Roblox itself.
What to do now
- Screenshot the whole notice. Write down the date, the username and the rule it names.
- Do not make a new account to keep playing. Roblox can treat that as getting around the ban.
- Appeal once, and do it well. Roblox says a moderation that has been reviewed cannot be reviewed again. Write from the email linked to the account. Say what you did, why it does not break the rule, or what else explains it (a shared device, a hacked account, a joke taken out of context).
- Download your data if you can still log in: Settings, Privacy, Request Account Data. It needs a verified email.
- Keep a copy of everything you send.
If the appeal was turned down, read Roblox appeal denied. If you think it was a mistake, read Roblox banned by mistake.
For parents
A ban on a child's account is stressful for the whole family. Sit down together and read the notice. Roblox's appeal page says only the account owner may appeal, but its privacy policy asks parents of children under 13 to fill out the support form, and Roblox then answers the parent. Write calmly and stick to facts.
Our paid letters are for adults, or for a parent acting for their child. A teen can use the free checker, but a parent should sign anything sent in the child's name.
The EU route
If you live in the EU, the Digital Services Act (DSA) applies to Roblox:
- Roblox must give a clear statement of reasons: the facts, the rule, whether automated tools were used, and how to challenge it.
- You can file a free internal complaint for at least six months. Roblox's own help pages also say EU users have 6 months to appeal. The complaint cannot be decided by automated means alone.
- Platform Control, ADR Center and ADR Point name Roblox on their own sites as certified dispute bodies. You can go there without an internal complaint first. Decision within 90 days of receiving the complete complaint. If you win, Roblox pays the fees and your reasonable costs.
- The GDPR gives you a free copy of your data within one month.
- Court stays open.
Outside the EU, Roblox's appeal within 30 days is the main route. More on the Roblox page.
Watch out for scams
"Unban services" and people offering free Robux to fix a ban are scams. Never share your password or a login code, and never pay anyone to remove a ban.
Questions people ask
How long do I have to appeal a Roblox ban?
Roblox's appeal page says an appeal must be sent within 30 days of the moderation action. For users in the EU it says 6 months for an initial moderation action. Do not wait for the last day: write it while you still remember what happened.
Can a parent appeal a Roblox ban for their child?
Roblox's appeal page says only the owner of an account may send an appeal. Its privacy policy asks parents of children under 13 to fill out the support form, and Roblox answers the parent for those users. If your child is under 13, use the support form together and say that you are the parent.
Is a Roblox Account deleted notice the end?
It is Roblox's most serious step, but you can still appeal it through the route the notice names. If you live in the EU, you also have a free complaint for at least six months and can go to a certified dispute body.
I was banned from one game, not from Roblox. What do I do?
Error Code 600 or 267 means the creator of that experience banned you. Roblox says it does not issue these bans and its support cannot remove them. Ask the experience's own community or creator instead.
Do I get my Robux back after a Roblox ban?
Not automatically. Roblox's EEA terms say that if an account is terminated, all Robux in it become invalid unless the law requires otherwise. A temporary ban does not delete them.
