Roblox account deleted or disabled?
Updated 21 October 2026
If Roblox deleted or disabled your account, the moderation notice is your starting point. Save it, note the date, and appeal through the route it names: Violations and Appeals or the Roblox support form. Outside the EU you have 30 days and one review. If you live in the EU, Roblox gives you six months, and the Digital Services Act gives you more options if the appeal fails.
First check what happened
Not every closed door is a ban.
- You or a parent deactivated it. Roblox lets users deactivate their own account, and a parent with a linked account can deactivate a child's account. That is reversible and not a ban.
- Someone deleted it on purpose. Deleting an account in settings is a separate process, not a moderation action.
- You were banned from one game. If only one experience shows Error Code 600 or 267, your account is fine. That ban comes from the game's creator. See the Roblox overview.
- Roblox closed it. You see a moderation notice and cannot play. That is what this page is about.
Common reasons Roblox gives
Read which rule the notice names. Roblox's help pages say, for example, that exploiting will lead to the deletion of an account. Repeated smaller breaches can also end with a closed account after earlier warnings or suspensions. If the notice names content, write down what it was and when you posted it.
How to appeal
- Use the route in the notice. Roblox says each notice states whether you appeal through Violations and Appeals (roblox.com/report-appeals) or the support form (roblox.com/support).
- Appeal as the owner. Roblox says only the account owner may appeal, from a valid email address for the account. A support form appeal needs the username and a short statement.
- Keep it short and factual. Say what you think the notice refers to, why it did not break the rule, and any context: a friend used your device, someone else had your password, a message was taken out of context.
- Appeal once, carefully. Roblox's help pages say a moderation that was reviewed cannot be reviewed again.
If you are a parent
Sit down with your child and read the notice together. Ask calmly what happened. Children often know exactly which chat or item caused it. Help them write the appeal in their own words. If your child is under 13, Roblox's privacy policy says it writes to the parent when answering privacy requests through the support form.
If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to help you. To buy our letters you must be 18 or older, or have a parent's or guardian's consent.
Your rights in the EU
If you live in the EU, Roblox must give a clear statement of reasons under DSA Art. 17: the facts, the rule, whether automated tools were used, and how to challenge it. Your complaint is free, stays open for at least six months, and must not be decided by automated means alone. If the appeal fails, you can go to a certified out-of-court dispute body. See Roblox appeal denied.
You can also ask for a free copy of your data under GDPR Art. 15. If you can still log in, Roblox offers "Request Account Data" in Settings, under Privacy. Otherwise use the support form. Outside the EU, Roblox's appeal is the main route.
Watch for scams
Nobody can "recover" a closed Roblox account for money, and Roblox will never ask for your password. Don't make a new account to keep playing: most platforms treat that as evading the ban. If you think someone else used the account, read banned by mistake on Roblox.
What you stand to lose
A ban on Roblox takes more than a profile. Think about what is on the account before you decide what to do.
- Years of photos, videos and posts you may not have saved anywhere else
- Messages and contacts, sometimes the only way you reach certain people
- The followers, subscribers or community you built
- Income: sales, sponsorships, payouts and the customers who find you there
- Other apps and sites where you sign in with this account
On Roblox specifically
- Your Robux. Roblox's EEA terms say that if your account is terminated for any reason, all Robux in it become invalid, unless the law requires otherwise.
- Groups you own. Roblox's EEA terms say that if an owner's account is suspended or terminated, Roblox may name a new owner for the group.
Deadlines that are already running
- Roblox's help pages say EU users have 6 months to appeal an initial moderation action. Outside the EU the limit is 30 days.
- Complaint to Roblox: open for at least six months from the day Roblox told you about the decision (DSA Art. 20).
- Copy of your data: free, and Roblox must answer within one month of your request (GDPR Art. 15). It is worth asking now.
Questions people ask
Why did Roblox delete my account?
Roblox closes accounts for serious or repeated breaches of its rules. Its help pages name cheating and exploiting as one reason that can lead to deletion. The moderation notice should tell you which rule Roblox applied.
My child's Roblox account was deleted. What should I do?
Read the notice with your child and save it. Roblox's appeal page says only the account owner may appeal, so help your child send it from their account email. If you live in the EU, the appeal window is six months.
Can a deleted Roblox account be restored?
An account Roblox closed can be restored if Roblox accepts an appeal, but nobody can promise that. If you deleted or deactivated the account yourself, that is a different process and not a ban.
What happens to my Robux if Roblox deletes my account?
Roblox's terms for the EEA say Robux become invalid when an account is terminated, unless the law requires otherwise. If the account comes back after an appeal, ask Roblox about your balance in writing.
