Pornhub account suspended?
Updated 21 October 2026
A suspended Pornhub account is locked, but not always for good. Read the notice to see whether Pornhub wants something from you, such as new documents, or whether it says you broke a rule. Fix what you can, keep proof, and if you disagree, email [email protected] from your account's email address within six months. If you live in the EU, the Digital Services Act gives you a right to reasons and a free complaint.
Two kinds of suspension
It helps to know which situation you are in.
Waiting for something. Pornhub checks identity and consent closely. Every co-performer needs an ID and a signed release, and Pornhub says consent must be renewed every two years. Its help pages say accounts may be temporarily deactivated and payouts delayed until missing documents are provided and approved. Here the fastest step is often to send what is missing.
A decision against you. The notice says you broke the Terms or the upload rules. Then you need a complaint that explains why the decision is wrong or too harsh.
If the notice does not make clear which one applies, that is itself a problem you can raise.
What to do this week
- Save the notice and every later email, with dates.
- Check your documents. Are your own ID details current? Is any co-performer release missing or older than two years?
- Send missing documents through the channel the notice names, and keep a copy of what you sent and when.
- Record your payouts. Note the last payout you received and any amount that should have followed. Use your own statements, not guesses.
- Complain if you disagree. Write to [email protected] from your account's email, in English or Greek. Say what happened, why it is wrong, and what you want.
What happens to your money
Pornhub's Terms allow it to restrict, suspend or withhold earnings and payouts while it acts on an account. So a suspension can pause income even if it is later lifted. Write down each month's expected payout and what actually arrived. That record matters for a complaint, a dispute body, and any later claim. If you earn as a model or studio, the business account page goes deeper.
Your rights if you live in the EU
- Reasons (DSA Art. 17). Pornhub must give a clear and specific statement of reasons when it suspends an account or suspends monetisation. It should name the facts, the rule, whether automated tools were used, and how to challenge it.
- Free complaint (DSA Art. 20). Open for at least six months, handled by a person and not by automated means alone. A wrong decision must be reversed without undue delay.
- Dispute body (DSA Art. 21). A certified out-of-court body can look at the case, even if you skip the complaint. If you win, Pornhub pays the fees and your reasonable costs. The dispute body finder shows which bodies may take it.
- Your data (GDPR Art. 15). A free copy, answered within one month.
- Business users. The P2B Regulation may give models and studios extra rights, depending on the facts.
Outside the EU, these rules do not apply in the same way and Pornhub's own complaint is the main route.
Things to avoid
Don't create a second account or upload through someone else's while suspended. That can count as getting around the suspension. Never give your login to anyone, and never pay a service that promises to lift the suspension. If you can no longer log in at all, see Pornhub account disabled. For timings, see how long a Pornhub review takes. The Pornhub overview and the free ban checker cover the rest.
What you stand to lose
A ban on Pornhub takes more than a profile. Think about what is on the account before you decide what to do.
- Years of photos, videos and posts you may not have saved anywhere else
- Messages and contacts, sometimes the only way you reach certain people
- The followers, subscribers or community you built
- Income: sales, sponsorships, payouts and the customers who find you there
- Other apps and sites where you sign in with this account
On Pornhub specifically
- Pornhub's terms say that once the terms end, you no longer have a right to access your account or your content.
- Model Program earnings. Pornhub's terms list restricting, suspending or withholding earnings and payouts among their enforcement measures.
Deadlines that are already running
- Pornhub's terms say the deadline for a complaint is six months after you are notified of the decision.
- Complaint to Pornhub: open for at least six months from the day Pornhub told you about the decision (DSA Art. 20).
- Copy of your data: free, and Pornhub must answer within one month of your request (GDPR Art. 15). It is worth asking now.
Questions people ask
Is a Pornhub suspension temporary?
It can be. Some suspensions last until a problem is fixed, for example missing documents. Others turn into a termination. Your notice should say which, and if it does not, ask Pornhub for a clear statement of reasons.
Do I still get paid while my Pornhub account is suspended?
Not necessarily. Pornhub's Terms allow it to suspend or withhold payouts as an enforcement measure. Keep a dated record of every payout you expected and did not receive.
Can I upload while my account is suspended?
Don't try to upload through another account or a friend's account. That can be treated as getting around the suspension and can hurt your complaint.
What if my co-performer's documents expired?
Pornhub says consent must be renewed every two years. Ask your co-performer for fresh documents, send them, and keep proof of the date you sent them.
