Permanently banned on Pornhub?
Updated 21 October 2026
A permanent ban on Pornhub is a termination of your account under its Terms. It is serious, but "permanent" is Pornhub's word, not the last word. If you live in the EU, you can still demand clear reasons, file a free complaint by email to [email protected] within six months, go to a certified dispute body and ask for your data. For creators, the most urgent question is what happens to money already earned.
What "permanent" means here
Pornhub's Terms let it end an account, and they say it may terminate for any or no reason at any time by notice. After termination, the Terms say you no longer have a right to access your account or your content, and Pornhub has no duty to help you move your data.
That is Pornhub's contract. It does not switch off your legal rights. In the EU, a platform must still explain the decision and let you challenge it. A decision that turns out to be wrong must be reversed without undue delay, whatever it was called.
The money question
For models and studios, termination often comes with a payout problem. The Terms allow Pornhub to:
- restrict, suspend or withhold earnings and payouts as an enforcement measure;
- forfeit accrued or pending earnings and cancel payouts after a breach of the upload rules;
- withhold payment of owed amounts if account information was false.
So a ban can cost earnings you already made, not only future income. Write down what you believe is owed: the months, the amounts from your own statements, and the last payout you received. If Pornhub keeps money, the statement of reasons must explain that decision too.
Options still open in the EU
If you live in the EU:
- Ask for the reasons (DSA Art. 17). The statement must name the facts, the rule, whether automated tools were used, and how to challenge it. A vague "violation of our Terms" is not enough.
- Complain (DSA Art. 20). Free and open for at least six months. Pornhub's Terms set six months and the email route above. Write in English or Greek.
- Dispute body (DSA Art. 21). A certified out-of-court body can review the ban, even without a complaint first. It decides within 90 days of the complete complaint. If you win, Pornhub pays the fees and your reasonable costs. Pornhub says it works with certified bodies. Check the dispute body finder.
- Your data (GDPR Art. 15). Ask the data protection officer at [email protected] for a free copy, answered within one month. Models can also write to [email protected].
- P2B Regulation. For business users it may require at least 30 days' notice before termination, with exceptions. Whether that covers you depends on the facts.
- Court. That right stays.
Outside the EU, Pornhub's own complaint process is the main route.
Protect what you can
- Keep local copies of your videos and the documents behind them.
- Store verification records, co-performer IDs and signed releases safely. You may need them as evidence.
- Keep every payout statement and tax record.
- Tell business partners factually that the account is closed and that you are challenging it.
Don't start over in secret
A new account, or uploading through someone else's, can be treated as getting around the ban. Creator accounts are also checked against a verified identity. Never share your login and never pay for "recovery". If your complaint was already rejected, read Pornhub appeal denied. If you earn on the platform, see business account. The free ban checker and the Pornhub overview cover the rest.
What you stand to lose
A ban on Pornhub takes more than a profile. Think about what is on the account before you decide what to do.
- Years of photos, videos and posts you may not have saved anywhere else
- Messages and contacts, sometimes the only way you reach certain people
- The followers, subscribers or community you built
- Income: sales, sponsorships, payouts and the customers who find you there
- Other apps and sites where you sign in with this account
On Pornhub specifically
- Pornhub's terms say that once the terms end, you no longer have a right to access your account or your content.
- Model Program earnings. Pornhub's terms list restricting, suspending or withholding earnings and payouts among their enforcement measures.
Deadlines that are already running
- Pornhub's terms say the deadline for a complaint is six months after you are notified of the decision.
- Complaint to Pornhub: open for at least six months from the day Pornhub told you about the decision (DSA Art. 20).
- Copy of your data: free, and Pornhub must answer within one month of your request (GDPR Art. 15). It is worth asking now.
Questions people ask
Can a permanent Pornhub ban be lifted?
Pornhub can change any decision it has made. If you live in the EU, it must reverse a decision without undue delay when a complaint shows it was wrong. Nobody can promise that outcome, but a clear complaint with evidence gives you the strongest possible case.
What happens to my videos after a Pornhub termination?
Pornhub's Terms say that after termination you no longer have a right to access your account or your content, and it has no duty to help you move your data. Keep your own copies of everything you upload.
Do I lose my pending earnings if Pornhub bans me?
It depends on the reason. The Terms allow Pornhub to withhold payouts and, for some breaches, to forfeit accrued or pending earnings. Write down the exact amount you believe is owed and challenge the decision if you disagree.
Can I make a new Pornhub account after a permanent ban?
Don't. A new account can be treated as getting around the ban, and creator accounts are tied to your verified identity anyway. Challenge the original decision instead.
