How long does a Pornhub ban last?
Updated 21 October 2026
Pornhub does not publish how long a suspension or a complaint review takes. Its Terms only promise a timely and diligent answer. What you can count on are the legal clocks: six months to complain, one month for your data, and 90 days for a dispute body in the EU. While you wait, keep a dated record of each step and each missed payout.
The clocks that do exist
These are the time limits you can rely on:
- Six months to complain. Pornhub's Terms say the deadline for a complaint is six months after you were told about the decision. The DSA also says the internal complaint must be open for at least six months.
- One month for your data. Under GDPR Art. 15, Pornhub must answer a request for a copy of your data within one month, or up to two more months for complex requests if it tells you why. Its Privacy Notice also states one month.
- 90 days for a dispute body. A certified out-of-court body decides within 90 days of receiving your complete complaint.
- 30 days' notice for business users. The P2B Regulation may require at least 30 days' notice before a business account is terminated, with exceptions. Whether it applies depends on the facts.
The deadline calculator works out the exact dates from the day of the decision.
What takes time on Pornhub
Some waits are part of normal checks, not a ban:
- Upload review. Pornhub says every upload is reviewed by a person before it goes live, so new videos are never instant.
- Identity checks. Creators verify with an ID and a third-party biometric check or a live video call. Pornhub's help pages state expected times for these checks.
- Co-performer documents. Pornhub's help pages say accounts may be deactivated and payouts delayed until missing documents are provided and approved. Here the clock starts when you send what is missing.
- Payouts. Earnings are paid monthly once a minimum payout amount is reached. A hold therefore shows up as a missed monthly payment.
If nothing happens
Silence is not an answer. If your complaint gets no reply:
- Check that you wrote from the email linked to your account, to [email protected], in English or Greek.
- Send one short, polite follow-up with the date of your first message.
- Note each date in your log.
If you live in the EU, you do not have to wait for the internal complaint to finish. You can go to a certified out-of-court dispute body at any time, even without complaining first. The Commission's list names no body for Pornhub yet, but general bodies may take the case. The dispute body finder helps you choose.
Outside the EU, Pornhub's own complaint is the main route, and waiting is often the only option.
Use the waiting time
- Gather your verification records and every co-performer ID and signed release.
- Download or list your payout statements for the last months.
- Start a loss log: one line per month with expected and received payouts, based on your own past statements.
- Write your complaint once, clearly, rather than several short messages.
Don't speed it up the wrong way
Don't open a second account to keep earning while you wait. That can count as getting around the ban and can cost you more. Never pay anyone who promises a faster review. If the answer was a rejection, read Pornhub appeal denied. If you earn on the platform, see business account. The free ban checker and the Pornhub overview cover the rest.
What you stand to lose
A ban on Pornhub takes more than a profile. Think about what is on the account before you decide what to do.
- Years of photos, videos and posts you may not have saved anywhere else
- Messages and contacts, sometimes the only way you reach certain people
- The followers, subscribers or community you built
- Income: sales, sponsorships, payouts and the customers who find you there
- Other apps and sites where you sign in with this account
On Pornhub specifically
- Pornhub's terms say that once the terms end, you no longer have a right to access your account or your content.
- Model Program earnings. Pornhub's terms list restricting, suspending or withholding earnings and payouts among their enforcement measures.
Deadlines that are already running
- Pornhub's terms say the deadline for a complaint is six months after you are notified of the decision.
- Complaint to Pornhub: open for at least six months from the day Pornhub told you about the decision (DSA Art. 20).
- Copy of your data: free, and Pornhub must answer within one month of your request (GDPR Art. 15). It is worth asking now.
Questions people ask
How long does Pornhub take to answer a complaint?
Pornhub's Terms do not promise a fixed time. They say complaints are handled in a timely, non-discriminatory, diligent and objective manner. If you live in the EU, the DSA requires a timely answer and a reversal without undue delay if the decision was wrong.
How long do I have to complain to Pornhub?
Pornhub's Terms set a deadline of six months after you were told about the decision. Send your complaint by email to [email protected] from your account's email address well within that time.
How long until a held payout is released?
There is no published time limit for releasing a held payout. Payouts normally run monthly once a minimum amount is reached, so note each month that is missed and include that in your complaint.
How long does a dispute body take for a Pornhub case?
A certified out-of-court body decides within 90 days of receiving your complete complaint. That limit comes from the DSA, not from Pornhub.
