Pornhub account restricted?

Updated 21 October 2026

Why acting early matters: Pornhub's terms say the deadline for a complaint is six months after you are notified of the decision. The longer an account is down, the more followers, customers and conversations move on. See what is at stake

A restriction on Pornhub means your account still exists, but something is limited: an upload was removed, monetisation was paused, a strike was added, or a payout is on hold. Each of these is a decision you can challenge. For removed content, Pornhub has a creator appeal process since June 2026. For anything else, email [email protected] from your account's email address within six months. In the EU, you have a right to reasons.

Which restriction do you have?

Pin down exactly what changed before you write to anyone. The usual cases:

Write down the date you noticed the change and screenshot any page that shows it.

How to challenge it

Removed content. Pornhub says it deployed a formal appeal process for creators in June 2026 for content removals. Use it if it shows up for you. Keep a copy of what you submit.

Strikes for collaborator tags. Pornhub's help pages say you can appeal by replying to the warning email.

Monetisation and payouts. Use the general complaint route in Pornhub's Terms: an email to [email protected], sent from the email address linked to your account, within six months of the decision. Write in English or Greek.

In every case, say what was restricted, when, why it does not break the rule named, and what you ask for. If the upload shows co-performers, mention that their ID and signed release are on file and when they were provided.

Your rights if you live in the EU

The Digital Services Act covers restrictions, not only full bans:

Outside the EU, Pornhub's own appeal and complaint routes are the main options.

Keep a record of the cost

A restriction on monetisation hits income directly. Note each affected upload, the month, and the earnings you would normally expect based on your own past statements. Keep this next to your payout statements. If the restriction grows into a suspension, the record is already there. The business account page explains how to build a loss log.

Stay careful

Don't upload the same content again from another account. That can be treated as getting around the restriction. Never pay anyone who promises to restore monetisation. If the restriction became a lockout, see Pornhub account suspended. More on the platform is in the Pornhub overview, and the free ban checker shows your rights.

What you stand to lose

A ban on Pornhub takes more than a profile. Think about what is on the account before you decide what to do.

  • Years of photos, videos and posts you may not have saved anywhere else
  • Messages and contacts, sometimes the only way you reach certain people
  • The followers, subscribers or community you built
  • Income: sales, sponsorships, payouts and the customers who find you there
  • Other apps and sites where you sign in with this account

On Pornhub specifically

  • Pornhub's terms say that once the terms end, you no longer have a right to access your account or your content.
  • Model Program earnings. Pornhub's terms list restricting, suspending or withholding earnings and payouts among their enforcement measures.

Deadlines that are already running

  • Pornhub's terms say the deadline for a complaint is six months after you are notified of the decision.
  • Complaint to Pornhub: open for at least six months from the day Pornhub told you about the decision (DSA Art. 20).
  • Copy of your data: free, and Pornhub must answer within one month of your request (GDPR Art. 15). It is worth asking now.

Questions people ask

How do I appeal a removed video on Pornhub?

Pornhub says it added an appeal process for creators whose content was removed in June 2026. You can also use the general complaint route by email to [email protected] from your account's email address, within six months.

Why can't I monetise my uploads on Pornhub?

Pornhub's Terms let it restrict a Verified Uploader's ability to monetise as an enforcement measure. Check your notice for the reason. If you live in the EU, Pornhub must explain a decision to suspend or end monetisation.

Why is my upload still not live on Pornhub?

Pornhub's help pages say every upload is reviewed by a person before it goes live. A delay is not always a restriction. If the upload is rejected, ask for the reason and check the documents for everyone in it.

What is a collaborator tagging strike?

Pornhub's spam and abuse rules describe strikes linked to collaborator tagging. Its help pages say you can appeal such a strike by replying to the warning email.
