Suspended on Kick?
Updated 21 October 2026
A Kick suspension is Kick's own decision about your account or channel. Read the suspension email, save it, and if you think it is wrong, send one clear appeal to [email protected] from the address linked to your account. Kick says an appeal does not pause the suspension. If you live in the EU, you also have a free internal complaint for at least six months, a right to clear reasons, and the option of a certified dispute body.
Temporary or indefinite
Kick's help pages describe two kinds of suspension. A temporary suspension pauses the account for a set period. An indefinite suspension pauses it with no set end date. A permanent ban is a third, separate level that closes the account.
Kick's appeals article also says that during a suspension your followers, subscribers, content and earnings stay intact. That is worth knowing if you stream for a living: a suspension is not the same as losing the channel.
Read the email closely
Look for:
- The level: temporary, indefinite or permanent.
- The rule: which Community Guideline Kick says you broke.
- The trigger: a stream, a clip, a chat message, your profile.
- The date the suspension started.
If you live in the EU, the DSA (Art. 17) requires a clear and specific statement of reasons, including whether automated tools were used and how to challenge the decision. If the email does not name the content, ask for it in your appeal.
Writing the appeal
Kick lists what an appeal should contain: your username, the account email, the date of the suspension, the reason given, why it should be reviewed, and any evidence. A few tips:
- Point to the moment. Give the stream date and roughly when it happened. Add a VOD link or clip if you have one.
- Explain the context. A reviewer may miss what was happening: a game scene, a raid, a viewer's message you read out to criticise it.
- Be honest. If you did break the rule, say so and ask for a reduced suspension. Kick lists a reduced suspension and modified terms as possible outcomes, alongside lifting or upholding it.
- Stay calm. Don't attack the reporter or Kick staff.
Kick says the appeal must come from the account holder. If your manager or a moderator writes it, Kick may still check with you.
Your EU rights while it runs
If you live in the EU, your complaint must be handled in a timely, diligent and non-arbitrary way, with a person involved, not by automated means alone. If it shows the decision was wrong, Kick must reverse it without undue delay.
You can also go to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under DSA Art. 21, even without finishing the appeal first. No certified body names Kick yet, but general bodies may still take the case. It is free or a nominal fee for you, the body decides within 90 days of receiving the complete complaint, and Kick pays the fees and your reasonable costs if you win. The dispute body finder shows the options. Court stays open. Outside the EU, the email appeal is your main route.
What not to do
- Don't go live on a second channel. Kick treats that as ban evasion, and it can make things worse.
- Don't send the same appeal again. Kick says repeat appeals on one decision will not change the outcome.
- Don't ask your community to flood Kick on social media. Kick only processes appeals sent to its appeals address.

What you stand to lose
A ban on Kick takes more than a profile. Think about what is on the account before you decide what to do.
- Years of photos, videos and posts you may not have saved anywhere else
- Messages and contacts, sometimes the only way you reach certain people
- The followers, subscribers or community you built
- Income: sales, sponsorships, payouts and the customers who find you there
- Other apps and sites where you sign in with this account
On Kick specifically
- Kick's help pages say your followers, subscribers, content and earnings stay intact during a suspension. The page says nothing about permanent bans.
- Unused KICKs. Kick's terms say unused KICKs and other digital content are forfeited to Kick when your account is terminated, unless the law requires otherwise.
- Paid subscriptions. Kick's terms say that if Kick suspends or terminates your account, there is no refund for unused subscription time.
- Partner Program fees. Kick's Partner terms say that if Kick suspends or bans you for content that breaks its rules, you are not paid for the time spent on that content. Kick may also end your Partner Program place at any time.
- Earnings from KICKs. Kick's KICKs policy says Kick may reverse or withhold your earnings from KICKs and offset them against future payouts if it suspects fraud, chargebacks or a policy breach.
- Time. Kick's help pages say an appeal does not pause your suspension.
Deadlines that are already running
- Complaint to Kick: open for at least six months from the day Kick told you about the decision (DSA Art. 20).
- Copy of your data: free, and Kick must answer within one month of your request (GDPR Art. 15). It is worth asking now.
Questions people ask
What is the difference between a temporary and an indefinite Kick suspension?
Kick's help pages describe a temporary suspension as an account paused for a defined period and an indefinite suspension as paused with no set end date. Your suspension email should say which one applies.
Do I lose my followers and subscribers during a Kick suspension?
Kick's appeals article says your followers, subscribers, content and earnings stay intact during a suspension. The same page says nothing about permanent bans.
Does appealing pause my Kick suspension?
No. Kick says an appeal does not pause your suspension. A temporary suspension keeps running while the appeal is reviewed.
Can my moderator or manager appeal for me?
Kick says appeals must come from the account holder. A team can appeal with your authorisation, but Kick may still need to check the appeal with you directly.
