OnlyFans account suspended?
Updated 21 October 2026
A suspended OnlyFans account is blocked while OnlyFans reviews your case. Its Terms say that during the review it may also pause fan payments and hold your creator earnings. Don't wait for the review to end: file the Deactivation Appeal Form now, with detailed reasons, within six months. If you live in the EU, OnlyFans must tell you why it suspended you.
What a suspension means on OnlyFans
OnlyFans' moderation policy describes a ladder of measures: removing content, a warning, a final warning, suspending the account, deactivating it, and banning the user. A suspension is in the middle. It can be lifted, or it can turn into a deactivation.
OnlyFans' own app texts include the title "Account suspended". In chargeback cases one version reads: "Your account is currently suspended due to a violation of our Terms of Service." Your notice may look different. Save it exactly as you see it.
OnlyFans' Terms say it may suspend an account without warning, for as long as it needs to review the facts, if it suspects a serious or repeated breach, or unlawful or fraudulent earnings. In that time it may pause fan payments, hold your earnings and refund or cancel fan payments.
For creators: protect the business
- Save the notice and any earlier warnings or removed content notices.
- Write down what is on hold. Your balance, pending payouts and the last payout you received, from emails or bank statements.
- Tell your regular fans through channels you control. OnlyFans' contract between fan and creator says fan access ends while the creator's account is suspended.
- Keep a loss log from today. See the business account page.
- Appeal. Use the Deactivation Appeal Form. OnlyFans' Appeals Policy covers suspensions and final warnings too, not only deactivations.
For fans: chargebacks and payments
Some suspensions come from payments. OnlyFans has a suspension notice for chargeback cases, and its texts mention repaying a balance, warning that another chargeback on that balance leads to a permanent suspension. If a chargeback was a genuine mistake, follow the steps in the notice. If you never disputed a payment, say so in your appeal and add your bank statement.
Write the appeal
Give your username or account URL, the URL of any content named, and detailed reasons why your account keeps to the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy. OnlyFans' form warns that appeals without detailed reasons and references to the Terms will be denied. Ask what facts the suspension is based on, and when the review will end.
Your rights in the EU
If you live in the EU:
- DSA Art. 17: a clear statement of reasons, also for pausing your monetisation. The facts, the rule, and whether automated tools were used.
- DSA Art. 20: a free appeal, reviewed by a person, open for at least six months. If the suspension was wrong, it must be reversed without undue delay.
- DSA Art. 21: a certified out-of-court body. No body names OnlyFans yet; check the dispute body finder and ask the body first.
- GDPR Art. 15: a free copy of your data within one month, via [email protected].
- P2B Regulation: creators may have extra rights as business users, depending on the facts.
Outside the EU, the appeal form is your main route.
While you wait
Don't open a second account and don't post through someone else's. That can count as getting around the suspension. Never pay a "recovery" service. To see what OnlyFans says about timing, read how long an OnlyFans review takes. If it turns into a deactivation, see OnlyFans account deactivated. What you stand to lose
A ban on OnlyFans takes more than a profile. Think about what is on the account before you decide what to do.
- Years of photos, videos and posts you may not have saved anywhere else
- Messages and contacts, sometimes the only way you reach certain people
- The followers, subscribers or community you built
- Income: sales, sponsorships, payouts and the customers who find you there
- Other apps and sites where you sign in with this account
On OnlyFans specifically
- OnlyFans' Terms say you will not be able to access your content after your account is terminated.
- Your earnings. OnlyFans' Terms say it may withhold your creator earnings while it reviews a case, and may then treat them as forfeited.
- Your subscribers. OnlyFans' contract between fan and creator says a fan's access ends when the creator's account is suspended or terminated.
- Prepaid subscriptions. OnlyFans' Terms say that if it terminates a fan account for breaking the Terms, payments, including prepaid subscriptions, are not refunded.
- Lost income during an appeal. OnlyFans' Appeals Policy says it is not liable for lost earnings or subscribers, even if your appeal succeeds.
Deadlines that are already running
- OnlyFans' Terms say that if you do not dispute a decision within six months of being notified, you lose the right to dispute it. Appeals go through its Deactivation Appeal Form.
- Complaint to OnlyFans: open for at least six months from the day OnlyFans told you about the decision (DSA Art. 20).
- Copy of your data: free, and OnlyFans must answer within one month of your request (GDPR Art. 15). It is worth asking now.
Questions people ask
Can OnlyFans suspend my account without warning?
OnlyFans' Terms say it can, for as long as it needs to review the facts, in cases such as a serious breach or suspected fraud. During that time it may also pause fan payments and withhold creator earnings. If you live in the EU, it must still give you a statement of reasons.
Is an OnlyFans suspension the same as a ban?
No. OnlyFans' moderation policy lists suspension as one step, with deactivation and a full ban as further steps. A suspension can end, but it can also lead to deactivation, so appeal while the case is open.
My account was suspended after a chargeback. What now?
OnlyFans has a suspension notice for chargeback cases, and its texts mention repaying a balance. Read the notice closely and follow its steps if the charge was yours. If you did not start a chargeback, say so in your appeal with your bank records.
Do I get paid while my OnlyFans account is suspended?
OnlyFans' Terms say it may withhold creator earnings while it reviews a case. They may be paid later, or treated as forfeited after the review. Keep a record of what you were due.
