OnlyFans account deactivated?

Updated 21 October 2026

Why acting early matters: OnlyFans' Terms say that if you do not dispute a decision within six months of being notified, you lose the right to dispute it. Appeals go through its Deactivation Appeal Form. The longer an account is down, the more followers, customers and conversations move on. See what is at stake

A deactivated OnlyFans account means you cannot log in, and as a creator your page, subscribers and earnings are frozen with it. Save the notice now. Then file OnlyFans' Deactivation Appeal Form within six months of the decision, with detailed reasons. If you live in the EU, OnlyFans must give you clear reasons, and a person must review your appeal.

First hour: secure what you can

You may not get back in, so collect what is still in your hands:

Write the appeal properly

OnlyFans' Appeals Policy says the Deactivation Appeal Form is the only way to appeal, and only fully completed forms are considered. The form itself warns that an appeal without detailed reasons, including references to the Terms of Service, will be denied. So:

  1. Give your username or the URL of your account.
  2. Give the URL of any content the notice names.
  3. Quote the rule OnlyFans cited, if it cited one.
  4. Explain, point by point, why your account or content keeps to the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy.
  5. Ask for the specific facts behind the decision if the notice did not give them.

Keep it calm and factual. Save a copy of what you sent, and the confirmation that OnlyFans received your appeal.

Your earnings are a separate dispute

OnlyFans' Terms say that while it reviews a case it may withhold your creator earnings, and after the review it may treat them as forfeited. They also say earnings forfeiture is disputed through the Complaints Policy, by the Contact Form or [email protected], not through the appeal form. If money is held, use both routes: the form for the account, the complaint for the earnings. Start a dated loss log today. The business account page shows how.

Your rights in the EU

If you live in the EU:

Outside the EU, the appeal form is your main route.

Don't make it worse

Don't open a new account to keep working. OnlyFans' moderation policy says it may stop banned users from opening new accounts, and a second account can sink your appeal. Never pay anyone who promises "reinstatement". If you think the decision was an error, read OnlyFans banned by mistake. For a temporary block, see OnlyFans account suspended. The OnlyFans overview and the free ban checker cover the rest.

What you stand to lose

A ban on OnlyFans takes more than a profile. Think about what is on the account before you decide what to do.

  • Years of photos, videos and posts you may not have saved anywhere else
  • Messages and contacts, sometimes the only way you reach certain people
  • The followers, subscribers or community you built
  • Income: sales, sponsorships, payouts and the customers who find you there
  • Other apps and sites where you sign in with this account

On OnlyFans specifically

  • OnlyFans' Terms say you will not be able to access your content after your account is terminated.
  • Your earnings. OnlyFans' Terms say it may withhold your creator earnings while it reviews a case, and may then treat them as forfeited.
  • Your subscribers. OnlyFans' contract between fan and creator says a fan's access ends when the creator's account is suspended or terminated.
  • Prepaid subscriptions. OnlyFans' Terms say that if it terminates a fan account for breaking the Terms, payments, including prepaid subscriptions, are not refunded.
  • Lost income during an appeal. OnlyFans' Appeals Policy says it is not liable for lost earnings or subscribers, even if your appeal succeeds.

Deadlines that are already running

  • OnlyFans' Terms say that if you do not dispute a decision within six months of being notified, you lose the right to dispute it. Appeals go through its Deactivation Appeal Form.
  • Complaint to OnlyFans: open for at least six months from the day OnlyFans told you about the decision (DSA Art. 20).
  • Copy of your data: free, and OnlyFans must answer within one month of your request (GDPR Art. 15). It is worth asking now.

Questions people ask

Why did OnlyFans deactivate my account?

The reason should be in the notice or email you received. OnlyFans' Terms say it will notify you and give a statement of reasons. If you live in the EU, that statement must name the facts and the rule, and say whether automated tools were used.

What happens to my earnings when OnlyFans deactivates my account?

OnlyFans' Terms say it may withhold creator earnings while it reviews a case, and after the review it may treat them as forfeited. A decision about your earnings is one you can dispute. Earnings forfeiture goes through the Complaints Policy, not the appeal form.

Can I see my content after a deactivation?

OnlyFans' Terms say you cannot access your content after your account is terminated. Keep your own copies of everything you upload. If you live in the EU, you can ask for a copy of your personal data under the GDPR.

Do my subscribers keep access?

No. OnlyFans' contract between fan and creator says a fan's access ends when the creator's account is suspended or terminated. Tell regular fans what happened through channels you control.
