Banned on OnlyFans by mistake?

Updated 21 October 2026

Why acting early matters: OnlyFans' Terms say that if you do not dispute a decision within six months of being notified, you lose the right to dispute it. Appeals go through its Deactivation Appeal Form. The longer an account is down, the more followers, customers and conversations move on. See what is at stake

If you think OnlyFans banned you by mistake, your job is to show it with evidence, not just to say it. Collect proof of what really happened: security emails for a hacked account, a bank letter for a chargeback you never made, the document you sent for a verification check. Then file the Deactivation Appeal Form within six months, with that proof and detailed reasons. If you live in the EU, a person must review it.

Common mistakes and the proof that fits

Someone took over your account

Look for login alerts, password reset emails or changed payout details you did not make. Secure your email account first. In the appeal, give the dates, say what you did not do and add the security emails. Keep a copy of any report to your email provider.

A chargeback you didn't start

OnlyFans has a suspension notice for chargeback and fraud cases. If you never disputed a payment, ask your bank or card provider for a short written confirmation. If your card was used by someone else, add your fraud report. If a chargeback was your own mistake, follow the repayment steps in the notice instead of arguing.

An ID or age check that went wrong

Verification problems can block an account until they are cleared. Use a valid, readable document that matches your account details. Note what you sent and when. If you were blocked even though your documents were accepted before, say so and add the earlier confirmation.

Content flagged by error

If a post or message was removed or your account was flagged, read the reason in the notice. Explain why the content keeps to the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy. Give the URL of each item. If the decision looks automated, ask whether automated tools were used.

Mistaken identity or mass reports

If you are confused with another account or targeted by false reports, say so plainly and give what proves it: your own account history, earlier warnings or none, messages showing a coordinated report wave.

Fans: what is at stake for you

OnlyFans' Terms say that if it terminates a fan account for breaking the Terms, payments, including prepaid subscriptions, are not refunded. If the ban was a mistake, say in your appeal that you want the account back and the subscriptions you paid for. Keep your payment receipts.

Write the appeal

  1. Your username or account URL.
  2. The URL of any content named.
  3. What happened, in date order, in short sentences.
  4. Your proof, attached or described.
  5. Why the decision does not fit the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy.

OnlyFans' Appeals Policy says only fully completed forms are considered, and the form warns that appeals without detailed reasons will be denied.

Your rights in the EU

If you live in the EU:

Outside the EU, the appeal form is your main route.

Don't make a mistake of your own

Never give your password to anyone who offers to "recover" the account. Don't open a new account while you wait: that can count as getting around the ban. If your appeal fails, read OnlyFans appeal denied. If features were only limited, see OnlyFans account restricted. More on the OnlyFans overview and in the free ban checker.

What you stand to lose

A ban on OnlyFans takes more than a profile. Think about what is on the account before you decide what to do.

  • Years of photos, videos and posts you may not have saved anywhere else
  • Messages and contacts, sometimes the only way you reach certain people
  • The followers, subscribers or community you built
  • Income: sales, sponsorships, payouts and the customers who find you there
  • Other apps and sites where you sign in with this account

On OnlyFans specifically

  • OnlyFans' Terms say you will not be able to access your content after your account is terminated.
  • Your earnings. OnlyFans' Terms say it may withhold your creator earnings while it reviews a case, and may then treat them as forfeited.
  • Your subscribers. OnlyFans' contract between fan and creator says a fan's access ends when the creator's account is suspended or terminated.
  • Prepaid subscriptions. OnlyFans' Terms say that if it terminates a fan account for breaking the Terms, payments, including prepaid subscriptions, are not refunded.
  • Lost income during an appeal. OnlyFans' Appeals Policy says it is not liable for lost earnings or subscribers, even if your appeal succeeds.

Deadlines that are already running

  • OnlyFans' Terms say that if you do not dispute a decision within six months of being notified, you lose the right to dispute it. Appeals go through its Deactivation Appeal Form.
  • Complaint to OnlyFans: open for at least six months from the day OnlyFans told you about the decision (DSA Art. 20).
  • Copy of your data: free, and OnlyFans must answer within one month of your request (GDPR Art. 15). It is worth asking now.

Questions people ask

My OnlyFans account was hacked and then banned. What do I do?

Secure your email first and change its password, then turn on two factor login where you can. In your appeal, say the account was taken over, give the dates and add any security emails you received. Never send your password to OnlyFans or anyone else.

I was banned for a chargeback I never made. How do I prove it?

Ask your bank or card provider for a written statement that you did not dispute the payment, and add it to your appeal. If someone else used your card, say so and add your report to the bank.

Does OnlyFans use automated tools to ban accounts?

If you live in the EU, OnlyFans must say in its statement of reasons whether automated tools were used. Your appeal must not be decided by automated means alone. Ask for this point directly if the notice is silent.

My ID or age check failed. Is that a ban?

It can lead to a suspension or restriction until the check is sorted out. Follow the steps in the notice, use a valid document and keep proof of what you sent and when. If you were blocked anyway, appeal and add that proof.
